Long Hollow Church Camp!!
While at camp we did such things as going to the water park. Which basically consists of a wave pool, hundred-something ft. slide and a rock climbing wall that squirts you in the face while you are trying to climb it.
Going white water rafting down the Ocoee River. The rapids were class 1-5, and I thought going in Gatlinburg was scary! On the raft you could "ride the bull" which you sat in the front of the boat while going over rapids. That was pretty funny to watch, and do!
Doing high ropes and going to the mud pit. High ropes had a zip line that was 300 ft. up and 1,000 ft. long. That was so much fun!! A rock climbing wall...I was the first one not to make it to the top!! Go ME!!!!! A giant swing that was more scary than the zip line. And the mud pit...let's just say...nasty...that's a good word for it.
On Sunday, we got to do the highlight of camp (other than the worship times)...paintball!!! That was soooo flippin' awesome! And our helmets looked like Master Chief!! We played CTF paintball, and my team won like everytime! I think it was because we had a good strategy. I really wanted to get hit just so I could have a bruise and say "Hey, I got this from paintball." When we actually got there I decided I really did not want to get hit...but that did not totally happen. I got hit with a paintball that did not pop (or whatever they do) and I did get a bruise...but it went away that day:( I had 3 people shooting me at one point, but no one hit me. Then, our game got rained out. Next year, I am going to kick some monkey in paintball.
The best things, Rudy (the camera guy) got it all on DVD. So we get to buy them!
Every night we had evening service. All of them were such a blessing! The camp pastor was awesome! One night in particular he preached on getting baptized on the right side of your Salvation. So since I was a baby when I was baptized, which was obviously on the wrong side of my Salvation...I am getting baptized tomorrow night at Long Hollow. The band was super cool. They play songs like "Somebody Like You" by Keith Urban, "Beautiful One" by By The Tree, "Blessed Be Your Name" by Tree63 and "With Or Without You" by U2. It was awesome!
Other than walking away with amazing sermons and awesome experiences. I am walking away with new friends, Gonzo, Phil, Johnathan, Amanda, Paige, Taylor, Emily, Hallie, Haily. Most of all I am walking away with an even stronger love for Christ!!! WIDE OPEN!! God Bless you all!!
