Long Hollow Church Camp!!
Well, I am home. As I said I went to Long Hollow's church camp. First, I just want to thank the Lord for allowing me to be able to go. And for everyone who got saved!!
While at camp we did such things as going to the water park. Which basically consists of a wave pool, hundred-something ft. slide and a rock climbing wall that squirts you in the face while you are trying to climb it.
Going white water rafting down the Ocoee River. The rapids were class 1-5, and I thought going in Gatlinburg was scary! On the raft you could "ride the bull" which you sat in the front of the boat while going over rapids. That was pretty funny to watch, and do!
Doing high ropes and going to the mud pit. High ropes had a zip line that was 300 ft. up and 1,000 ft. long. That was so much fun!! A rock climbing wall...I was the first one not to make it to the top!! Go ME!!!!! A giant swing that was more scary than the zip line. And the mud pit...let's just say...nasty...that's a good word for it.
On Sunday, we got to do the highlight of camp (other than the worship times)...paintball!!! That was soooo flippin' awesome! And our helmets looked like Master Chief!! We played CTF paintball, and my team won like everytime! I think it was because we had a good strategy. I really wanted to get hit just so I could have a bruise and say "Hey, I got this from paintball." When we actually got there I decided I really did not want to get hit...but that did not totally happen. I got hit with a paintball that did not pop (or whatever they do) and I did get a bruise...but it went away that day:( I had 3 people shooting me at one point, but no one hit me. Then, our game got rained out. Next year, I am going to kick some monkey in paintball.
The best things, Rudy (the camera guy) got it all on DVD. So we get to buy them!
Every night we had evening service. All of them were such a blessing! The camp pastor was awesome! One night in particular he preached on getting baptized on the right side of your Salvation. So since I was a baby when I was baptized, which was obviously on the wrong side of my Salvation...I am getting baptized tomorrow night at Long Hollow. The band was super cool. They play songs like "Somebody Like You" by Keith Urban, "Beautiful One" by By The Tree, "Blessed Be Your Name" by Tree63 and "With Or Without You" by U2. It was awesome!
Other than walking away with amazing sermons and awesome experiences. I am walking away with new friends, Gonzo, Phil, Johnathan, Amanda, Paige, Taylor, Emily, Hallie, Haily. Most of all I am walking away with an even stronger love for Christ!!! WIDE OPEN!! God Bless you all!!

AMEN! Thats soo cool. Im glad you had fun... ba, I dont know what to say. lol
God truly blessed you, I am so glad. That was a great report. It is GOOD to praise the Lord in freedom. He loves for us to enjoy Him through the act of Praise and Worship. Your choice to follow the Lord in baptism is a true milestone in your life. You will always remember it. The act of submitting to the heart is not always an easy choice. I am SOOOOOOO happy for you.
u seem to have had a great time
cool..
and the last line in ur blog is wonderful
" Most of all I am walking away with an even stronger love for Christ!!!"
thats wonderful
I'm glad your back and I'm especially glad about what Christ has done during your time at camp, praise God! I guess this post explains why you weren't at church tonight. On Thursday at 3:00 we are supposed at church painting the girl's bathroom floor. Bring about $5 for pizza if you can come. I think it is the second week in July (11-14) we're having a volleyball camp. If you have more questions ask Mrs.Snow. ( You probably already know all this thuogh.)I hope you can come! God bless!
I just tried to call you (10:00, I thought you would be up, your probably still tired from your trip) but you were already in bed. I'm so sorry if it disturbed you or your family's sleep. There's my second embarassing momment today. Please forgive me!
Thanks Tessie. I do not know if I will be able to be there today. I am going to get some clothes I left at Long Hollow and going to Goody's. I'll try to come....but I am not sure. I had not heard about the Volleyball camp....but some how that does not surprise me...I am still a homeschooler...lol! You did not wake anyone up. Everyone was awake but me. I have been sleeping a lot since I got back. That sun really drained me!
now the challenge will be to not allow this fire in you to burn out... It's sooo easy to be all fired up during camps like this where you are surrounded by Christians and the Lord is working in everyone's life... stay in God's word and allow God to work even more in your life even after your back to your everyday life again! I too love camps like this it get's you back into perspective...
oh..will pray for you too
hope u'll get over the fatigue real soo..
be blessed
