back?

It is slightly funny how I update this blog. I guess for the fun of it.

So...
here we go...

I hope everyone out there in the blogging relm are doing well!
I miss [some of] you dearly. Some of you my be suprised to know, I miss you.

Well, I have been having a lot of rough patches lately. But, I am living and loving life through it all.

I am still suffering a sprained neck from the wreck I was in with fred and amanda back in dec. I am going to physical therpy next week. blah.

I went to prom with amanda.
I met a guy....Cory, we danced the night away. He is the most amazing guy I have ever met.
He is a Christian.
He doesn't drink, smoke do drugs.
My parents love him.
We get along.
We haven't even argued..yet. but we know there will be a day it happens. =)
He is a lifeguard...and as tan as...something that is tan..
Sadly, he lives about 45minutes to an hour away....but.
He is pretty much the bestest, and i love him.

I graduated. Woohoo! =/

I turned 18 this year. yay! I have not and will not start smoking..haha.

So on my 18th birthday, I received the best gift I could.
A Promise ring.
That's right..I am spoken for, taken, in a relationship, set to be engaged...the list goes on.
He is the man of my dreams. I am so happy to have found him.

So on the 19th mom and dad took us to 6 flags..that was fun. We were there 2 days before the horrible accident where the girl got her feet cut off. Scary much?

You may remember my post about my friend nathan...well july 28th was a year. I spent the day at the mall with Sammi to keep my mind of of it. Cory was not able to come over bcuz he was working. So we had made plans for him to come over Sunday after church.
It did not exactly got according to plan. On his way over...on our road...he hit a tree..and flipped his durango on its side. Praise the Lord he is ok. The glass on the passenger side shattered...giving him a lot of cuts...but not even a bruise. I thank the Lord for keeping him safe, he was lucky. It totaled the durango as well.

All that being said:
Mom and I were talking yesterday, and counted people around us that have had accidents from the time of Nathans to Corys. I believe we counted 12.
My parents have decided to get another car incase anything happens to any of us, we have a car to reach them.

So that is my life now!

Well, it has been a while...=/

So much has changed over the past, let's sayy, 2 years. New school, new church, new bands, new friends, and new thrills.

The new school thing is going pretty good. Senior year baby..haha. Just kidding.
I am enjoying it. We have a volleyball team this year..go Lady Mustangs..woot woot! I am the captain, which is also cool. The basketball team is lookin' good, too! =]

New church is also good. I love my youth pastor, Michael Jenkins, is amazing! His wife, Traci is equally amazing. I love them both dearly. My Connect Group leaders, Lin and Jennifer, are great! We have a great time learning about God, and each other. Our youth group is grand. We're all CrAzYy!! I do miss some dear friends at Southside though =[ Worship is great, our worship leader, Mike Hurst and the Praise Band is amazing! Mike has like one of the best voices on the PLANET!

Two bands with the GREATEST guys..EVER! 'Though A Glass' and 'The Capture'. These guys are soo amazingly talented, wonderful men of God. I love them all. I am so blessed to be a part of them!! I look oh soo forward to getting to see them more and more.

Since switching churches I have made a lot of new friends..
Cameron, Devon, Megan, Darci, Nathan, T.J., John John, Coy..you all rock and I love you dearly!!

The thrilling...or not so thrilling...Those who read my MySpace know, Amanda, Fred and I were in car wreck. Amanda's new P.T. Cruiser was totaled, as well the other car involved. Thank goodness everyone was ok!..for the most part. Amanda came out of it with a sprained wrist, and many bruises. Fred was fine at the time, later realized he screwed up his arm. I came away with a sprained neck, and bruises...and now, my back appears to be messed up...M.R.I. pending. The guy in the other car had a scratch on his hand, and his sister had a hurt/broken finger. I am just thankful no one was more seriously hurt.

Having the wreck brought back the horrible memories of dear ones being injured, hospitals, and the fatal accident of my dear friend Nathan Johnson.

To you all, I wish you a VERY Merry Christmas! and a Happy New Year!

Nathan Johnson 7.28.06

Nathan Lee Johnson

died on Friday (July 28th) morning. Nathan was on his way to football practice that morning and was running late. We don't believe that he was speeding excessively because he was always late and it was kind of expected from him at football practice. For some reason as he neared the school he for some reason gradually began to drift into the other lane and hit a cement truck head-on. He was NOT on the phone with his mother, or anyone for that matter. His jeep then flipped and landed in Mike Hurst's yard. It did not flip seven times like the rumers have said, there wasn't enough space between the point of impact and where the jeep landed for it to flip seven times. The Hurst's heard the crash and came out and found him there and called 911. After they called for help they called Andrew, Nathan's brother, who was down the street at Long Hollow Baptist where he was interning. He arrived on the scene and then called his parents. Meanwhile, an EMT vehicle arrived on he scene and tried to get an IV into Nathan while they then called for lifeflight. Nate's mom then arrived and there were fourteen minutes between the time they called for the lifeflight and the time that it arrived . In that time Nate was in and out of conscousness. His mom stood by cheering him on and encouraging the medical people. No one is really sure if he got to talk to Mrs. Cathy (his mom). He had a broken femur in his left leg and his ankle was broken around the pedal of his car. When they were finally able to pull him out he went unconscous and he wouldn't wake up after that. He died on the way to the hospital.

Nathan Johnson was one of the most Godly people I know. He was always smiling, and witnessing to people. On stage, you could just tell...there was something different about him. He radiates God's love. Nathan had a Faith I could only ever dream of having. He was a genuine Christian. Not just a nominal Christian. He live out his faith everyday. Nathan was in the band Through A Glass. They were to do a show last night at RCKTWN. They did just what i believe Nathan would have wanted. They went, shared the Gospel, and most of all praised Him(the Lord) through the pain. I may have not known Nathan as well as most people, but what I did know of him he was just an amazing guy. My prayers go out to his family, Through a Glass, and all his other friends. And would ask and encourage you to do the same thing. It would mean a lot to everyone. Including me. There is no doubt where Nathan is now, it is where I am going to be when the Lord calls me home..in Heaven! Nathan we love you!

Isaiah 57:1-2 - The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.

I had to change it due to false information in the first one. Sorry.

My Savior, My God

I am not skilled to understand
What God has willed, what God has planned
I only know at His right hand

Stands One who is my Savior

I take Him at His Word and deed
Christ died to save me this I read
And in my heart I find a need
For Him to be my Savior

That He would leave His place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You count it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my Savior

My Savior loves, my Savior lives
My Saviors always there for me
My God He was, my God He is
My God He's always gonna be

Yes, living, dying; let me bring
My strength, my solace from this I spring
That He who lives to be my King
Once died to be my Savior

That He would leave His place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You count it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my Savior

My Savior loves, my Savior lives
My Savior's always there for me
My God He was, my God He is
My God He's always gonna be

My Life.....

well, well, well, look at what we got here! A new post...haha!!! I think it is becoming a once a month thing...lol!! Oh, well. I am on my myspace more than this now is the reason.

Convention-
It ended like 3 weeks ago, but anyway...It was a great time...for the most part. It was a great time of fellowship, friends and fun!! I think one the highlights was every night after the rally we would all (UCAers, with the exception of Mr. Counts) get together...well, mainly Jace, Jordan, Holland and I...we would get together and play HALO!!!! It was great! I have not played with people better than me in ages!! I loved it!! However...'sexy man,' 'buttcake,' and 'can man'...you are all going down next time!!! hahaha!!! just kidding!!! Naturally a highlight was also the awards ceremony...here is how I did...

-Bible Bowl 4th
-B&W Secnic 5th
-Color Scenic 3rd
-Female Duet 1st
-Mixed Duet 2nd (Our other mixed duet got first)
-Mixed Quartet 1st
-Table Tennis 7th
-most Music points overall 1st (well, that one is the schools)
So yeh!! It was great!!!

Storms-
Yeh, ok the storms fri. before last. They were horrible!! We were in Murfreesboro at a volleyball/basketball tournament, all of the sudden...BAM!!! Like a bunch of bricks fell on my head...umm...yeh, so I have not earthly idea where I was going with that! Anyway...We were in the middle of a v-ball game and I see the coach of Bellwood's v-ball team's husband come in and tell his wife we were under a tornado warning, after our game our coach tells us to all get together...we needed to talk. We find out the half of their house was gone! He said 'Gallatin was hit pretty hard.' I do not think I will ever forget those words. at that time the ref. called us all to the middle of the gym. We all prayed and after that they spotted a tornado and had us all get into the hallway. We were under tables and I was freaking out. Those of you who kno me well, know I HATE storms! and then to be away from my parents to...nooo I did not like that at all. While we were under there, we were singing and I was talking to my parents. I was soooo upset I thought I was going to have a mental breakdown. After a lot of hail, wind and flickering of the lights...it was finally over. When the storms had passed I felt somewhat better. Then I found out we had another band of storms on the way. I asked the coach if there was anyway we could get home, he said...there was a window but it was closing quickly...so we had to wait the next on out too!! About an hour or so later...again during our game we had to get in the hall. The clouds were swirling right over the gym...Praise the Lord...I do not think anything ever came of that...but that was definatly scary!!! On Sunday, me and a few friends went into the Woodvale neighborhood and helped clean-up. I was glad we got to go and help. It was kinda crazy to think that a house where I spent many good times...was gone. I hear the tornado that hit Vol. State was there for 11 seconds. 11 seconds and a buliding is gone and others damaged! It is just crazy! Well, I must be going! God Bless you all!
